What I do at Lhagsam: I served as SPC from 2019 to mid 2021.  I facilitate the weekly Shamatha meditation and monthly Chenrezig practice. I also offer Yoga & meditation classes when requested.

My Buddhist life story: As I was born in Taiwan, Buddhism, Taoism, Zen were flavours of my up-bringing.  Stories of Avalokiteshvara or Xuanzang were depicted in dramas, planting seeds for later maturing of buddhist concepts. Avalokiteshvara is a bit like an angle that you call upon whenever you are in trouble.(Fun fact:  Avalokiteshvara is male in Tibetan, but known as Quan-yin and is female in Far-Eastern Buddhism).  Concepts like karma and rebirth came easily, but you might call it blind faith and could feel that way sometimes. It’s not until I met the teachings on Lam Rim in Tushita Dharamsala in 2013 that I started to learn how the path is laid out for a so-called Buddhist practitioner. As a beginner on this path, I’m forever grateful for all the teachers, spiritual friends who hold the torches shining on my path.  I continue to study with teachers from all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

Inspiration: Allow your heart to soften, but don’t be shy when you need to bring out your wisdom sword. (A motto for myself).
