No one can heal your mind and emotions except you: No therapist or guru can go inside your head and change unhelpful mental habits and patterns we continually confront. Fortunately, this does not mean you cannot create a healthier, happier, and more balanced mental state to live a more meaningful life. During this course, we will explore a 2500-year time-tested psychology and learn to identify lasting solutions rather than ‘feel-good’ band aids.

We really begin to practice when we learn to be our own therapist, as Lama  Yeshe puts it: seeing our mind, noticing the anger, the attachment, the fears, and learning to work with them and change them. That’s the real, immediate practice to do. And this is what’s so difficult.

The afternoon ends with Venerable leading the refuge ceremony and giving the us the opportunity to take – or re-take – the lay vows (the pratimoksha vows): Refuge and living in vows will be thoroughly explained during the teachings.

The teachings will be streamed live on YouTube for those who can’t join us at the center. Onsite attendance is limited to 20 persons.
