This weekend course is based on a classical text “The 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas” by Togmay Sangpo. A bodhisattva refers to anyone who has generated an awakening mind, and has vowed to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings. Togmay Sangpo is one of the great bodhisattvas who became an Arya Bodhisattva within a very short period through practising the 37 practices. He then revealed this teaching in a condensed and practical way so that ordinary beings will be able to immediately apply them in this samsaric life.

The bodhisattva practices are to guide us on the Buddhist path by showing how one is to work with the mind, to cultivate compassion and live a fulfilling life.

And why is it for rebels? It certainly takes courage and fearlessness to embark the bodhisattva path. Even if you are just curious about this path of Bodhisattvas and wondering what it’s all about, we welcome you to join us.

About the Teacher

Stephan Pende, a contemporary Buddhist and Meditation teacher, will guide us through the practices outlined in this text. Most importantly, Stephan brings to life the ancient and much cherished teachings so we can all relate and incorporate the teachings to our daily life.
