“Death is a part of all our lives. Whether we like it or not, it is bound to happen. Instead of avoiding to think about it, it is better to understand its meaning” H.H Dalai Lama

Death is a subject that most people do not like to hear about, talk about, or even think about. Why is this? After all, whether we like it or not, each and every one of us will have to die one day. In fact everyday we move one day closer to death. To realize this doesn’t have to be scary, it can actually help us to live a more meaning full life and resolve conflicts as soon as possible. In this course we learn how we can prepare for own death and also how we can help our loved ones to die. What happens when we are dying? Often it’s the unknown that is scares us. This weekend we will also explore what is happening at the time of death and what to expect afterwards.

This teaching is based on the FPMT Discovering Buddhism program. The intensive practice day will take place on March 7.
