His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama Long Life ~ Mani Mantra Recitation Initiative

Initiated by Yeshin Norbu FPMT, we invite you to join our FPMT Global community in a special Mani Mantra Recitation Initiative dedicated to His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s long life. Beginning with Losar and from March 1 to June 30, students are encouraged to recite the Om Mani Padme Hum mantra. The total recitations will be offered to His Holiness on July 6 in celebration of his 90th birthday!

In honor of Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s wishes, we dedicate this practice with the motivation of ensuring His Holiness’s long, healthy, and stable life, the fulfillment of all his projects, and the promotion of world peace and universal compassion.

To join,

• Access this spreadsheet and enter your name in the first column.
• Keep track of your monthly mantra recitations (total mantras not malas).
• Every month (March through June) record your monthly totals alongside your name here.
  For example if you recite one mala per day in March, (if your mala has 108 beads) that would be a total of 108 x 31 = 3,348. Enter 3,348 in the March column next to your name.
• You can participate for one, two, three, or all four months—any amount you contribute is of great merit for His Holiness!
