Introduction to Meditation is open to anyone who is interested to begin a meditation practice and to join our weekly Shamatha meditation when we put these skills into practice.

Shamatha means ‘to abide in peace’. It is the practice of tranquillity or stabilizing meditation – a method of allowing the mind to be more focused, calm and relaxed.  This short introduction to meditation is offered for those curious about what meditation is and is not. Instructions on Shamatha meditation will be taught in this short 60 minutes together. Participants have the opportunity to stay with us for one more hour of Shamatha practices after this introduction.  It’s also suitable for those who would like in-person guidance.

Participating in our weekly Monday Shamatha mediation (19:00 – 20:00) is open without registration.

Cost: Suggested donation is 0 – 20 CHF.  No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. You can donate upon online (via Paypal, Twint or E-Banking).
