Introduction to Meditation is scheduled on the first Monday of the month. It’s open to anyone who is interested to begin a meditation practice and to join our weekly Shamatha meditation when we put these skills into practice.

Once a month, we offer this introduction to mediation for those curious about what meditation is and is not. Instructions on Shamatha meditation will be taught in this short 45 minutes together.

Shamatha means ‘to abide in peace’. It is the practice of tranquillity or stabilizing meditation – a method of allowing the mind to be more focused, calm and relaxed.
These introduction sessions are suitable for beginners and those who are interested in starting meditation. From September to December 2021, each of the following theme will be introduced:
- What is meditation? how to start? Very simple techniques to start meditating (September)
- Meditation posture workshop & Meditation on the space of the mind (October)
- How to structure your meditation practice (November)
- Review and Open discussions (December

Participating in our weekly Monday Shamatha mediation (19:00 – 20:00) is open without registration. Same zoom link is used.
