Opportunity to ask questions about the Guhyasamaja Initiation

His Eminence Jhado Rinpoche has accepted to bestow a Guhyasamaja initiation in Switzerland on November 13-15. Receiving a Highest Yoga Tantra initiation from a great Master is a rare opportunity, but also a significant step that comes with commitments. It is completely natural to have questions about what it involves. We invite you to attend this information session.

Ahead of His Eminence Jhado Rinpoche’s Guhyasamāja initiation in November, experienced FPMT teacher Francesca Paoletti, who has completed both the FPMT Basic and the Master Program will offer a session especially for those who are considering taking the initiation but would like to understand better what to expect.

The session will provide an opportunity to ask questions and receive clarification about:

• What it means to enter a tantric practice and how to approach it as a student
• What an initiation is and what it means to receive one
• How to prepare for the initiation
• The commitments associated with Highest Yoga Tantra initiation
• What is expected after receiving the initiation
• The relevance of Guhyasamāja practice within the Gelug tradition and the FPMT in particular.

During the session, there will be a short introductory presentation on these points and then there will be plenty of time for questions and discussions.

There may be uncertainty about whether one is ready to take on the commitments, or simply questions about what they entail. This session is intended to give you a clear basis for making your own decision and we encourage an open discussion where no doubt or qualm is left out.

Please note: The session will not give tantric teachings or instructions that are restricted to those who have received the initiation. The purpose is to explain the framework, commitments and practical aspects of receiving an initiation, and to answer questions. The actual tantric teachings and practice instructions come after the initiation.
