The Healing Words of Prayers

Join us for an evening full of inspiration and powerful prayers with Ven. Damchoe!

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept 29 7.00 – 9.00 pm (CET – Zurich)
WHERE: Online and onsite
 All are welcome

May I ease the suffering in the lower realms. And in the many directions and dimensions of the universe. May I guide all wanderers in samsara to the pure bliss of awakening and be of worldly benefit to them as well.
King of prayers

On this evening Ven. Damchoe will guide us through a set of prayers and meditations that FPMT’s spiritual director Lama Zopa Rinpoche has recommended us to do, to make the pandemic subside. The main prayer is written by the Sakya-monk Thangton Gyalpo, who closely associated his prayers with Chenrezig. The meditations include elaborate visualizations on Chenrezig, guardians such as Vajrapani and Black Manjushri, as well as mantra recitations on Green Tara. During these practices, Venerable will give us his personal interpretation of how to apply these practices to our modern understanding, for them to make sense to us and be a useful protection, especially when we don’t necessarily have the initiation to self-initiate as these entities.

At the end of the practice, Ven. Damchoe will tell us about how he got ordained and his life as a monk, eventually ending up organizing the weekly 24-hours Prayerthon, tasked to the IMI by Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

All are welcome!
