Why do we need to generate renunciation in order to find happiness?
To answer this question we need to understand the difference between happiness and suffering.
Tonight we are going to start on the contemplations of the various sufferings. We start with the eight types sufferings, looking at suffering number one and two. These are the suffering of birth and aging.
In the West we often don’t regard birth as being a suffering. But what is the Buddhist point of view?
