Discovering Buddhism is an FPMT study program aimed at giving Buddhist and non-Buddhist students a solid footing in the practice of Mahayana Buddhism. The program is not meant to be an academic study of Buddhism, it is meant to change our daily lives through experiential training in meditation and thought transformation.
The program takes place online on Thursday evenings, 7–9 PM CET. Each of the 13 modules consists of four two-hour sessions and starts on the first Thursday of each month. These sessions will be taught by Ven. Robina Courtin. To supplement the teachings there will be guided analytical meditations and discussions on Tuesdays (Together on the Path). Study materials will be made available, and as an extra incentive, participants are invited to meet for one “Intensive Practice Day” per module. Completion certificates will be awarded to students who meet the criteria.
You can join one of our two study paths: Total Freedom Path or Certificate Path, depending on your goals and ambitions. The Practical Information tab contains detailed information about both paths.
At Lhagsam we embrace diversity and equal opportunity with respect to race, religion, ethnicity, culture, gender, age, sexual orientation, and physical abilities. Everyone is warmly welcome!
