On April 13, 2023, 9:30am Nepal time, our precious Teacher and Guru Lama Zopa Rinpoche, co-founder and spiritual director of the FPMT, showed the aspect of passing away. Let’s join in a collective effort to accumulate extensive merits and thus create the causes for our precious Teacher to return quickly among us and benefit us with his precious Teachings.
We will recite the text Manjushri Namasangiti (Chanting the Names of Noble Manjushri), as recommended by HH the 14th Dalai Lama (read more here). The recitation of this beautiful text brings immeasurable merits, including the development of wisdom and of incredible memory; it also grants incredibly powerful purification and collects inconceivable merits.
Following that, we will make a beautiful practice of Light Offering: this is because, as Lama Zopa Rinpoche explained, “Making offerings on the death anniversary of a guru is an incredible practice in that it brings about the greatest purification of negative karma and collects the most extensive merit.” (read more here: Anniversary of Lama Zopa Rinpoche Showing the Aspect of Passing Away)
We will conclude the event with extensive dedications and reading the prayers for the Swift Return of Lama Zopa Rinpoche: Read more here.
