Based on an explanation of the functions of karma, Ven. Robina will discuss the guru yoga on Guru Vajrasattva and how it’s rooted in the application on the four opponent powers: First, we take refuge, we rely on our trustworthy teacher, the Buddha, and the path he showed us. Then we regret all our negative actions, which only create obstacles on our path. Next, we apply the remedy; in this practice it is the recitation of the Vajrasattva mantra. To conclude, we apply the power of resolve; we make a pledge to do our best not to do these negative actions again.
