We will come together for a day of meditation. For anyone not being able to commit for the whole day, you can join half a day.  It is okay to leave or join during lunch break between 13:00 - 14:00, but please do so quietly, as we will be in silence. Beginners are encouraged to join the morning session at 10:30 AM as there would be more guidance in the morning and we will reduce interactions as we move deeper into the retreat. Introduction to Meditation is open to anyone who is interested to begin a meditation practice and to join our weekly Shamatha meditation when we put these skills into practice. Your mind follows your wishes and focuses wherever you like for as long as you like. - Geshe Lhundub Sopa Shamatha means ‘to abide in peace’. It is the practice of tranquillity or stabilizing meditation – a method of allowing the mind to be more focused, calm and relaxed.  This short introduction to meditation is offered for those curious about what meditation is and is not. Instructions on Shamatha meditation will be taught in this short 60 minutes together. Participants have the opportunity to stay with us for one more hour of Shamatha practices after this introduction.  It's also suitable for those who would like in-person guidance.
