Geshe Tenzin Zopa holds the honoured Geshe degree from Sera Je Monastic University in southern India. Born in the Tsum Valley in Nepal, he was ordained at the age of 9. From his early years, he was the special spiritual student of the world-renowned and highly realized Geshe Lama Konchog. Geshe Zopa is featured in the 2008 documentary film Unmistaken Child, which follows his search for the reincarnation of his beloved teacher.
Geshe Zopa currently teaches and provides spiritual guidance to several monasteries and nunneries in Nepal. He also oversees the development of Tulku Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche, the reincarnation of Geshe Lama Konchog. Geshe Zopa is the author of numerous books on Buddhism and its application in the modern times.
