Ven. Constance Miller
Ordained in 1978 as a Buddhist nun by Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, Ven. Constance Miller teaches Buddhist philosophy and practice in Buddhist centers in Europe, Asia, and America since 1982.
During the last 40 years, Ven. Connie has dedicated her knowledge and energy to bring the wisdom of Buddhism into Western culture, focusing specifically on the fields of education and publications. Once responsible for the editorial department of Wisdom Publications in Boston back in the 90s, Ven. Connie continues to edit Buddhist texts and books, so that they become available to us, Westerners.
However Ven. Connie’s biggest passion and achievement is the development of the Universal Education project. Ven. Connie helped Lama Thubten Yeshe to launch this project at the beginning in the 80s and has been teaching courses in this context ever since. Universal Education project’s goal is to develop and propagate a system of inner development that enables people of all ages, cultures and traditions to lead a happy and meaningful life and to be of service to others. The project now became a worldwide movement known as Universal Education for Compassion and Wisdom (UECW).
Currently Ven. Connie is a resident teacher at the Lama Tzong Khapa Institute in Italy, where she designs, develops and teaches new courses and projects utilizing the Universal Education principles.
